Grilled sandwich with smoked tempeh

Marinated and roasted, smoked tempeh satisfies not only the most sophisticated tastebuds, but also the discerning visual aesthetic, as the sight of it makes you melt at the thought of your first bite. 


INGREDIENTS

Smoked Tempeh

Kimchi

Baguette

Whole curly kale leaves

Red onion

Garlic

Fresh thyme

Fresh parsley

Tamari soy sauce

BBQ sauce

Mustard

Brown sugar

Red pepper


MARINADE FOR TEMPEH

Tamari soy sauce

3 garlic cloves

Fresh bunch of thyme

Fresh bunch of parsley

BBQ sauce

Mustard

Pinch of brown sugar


METHOD

1. Finely chop all the ingredients, mix into a marinade and spread half of the marinade over a whole block of smoked Tempeh.

2. Cut the baguette in half and spread the remaining half of the marinade over both halves. Cut the red peppers into thicker strips, prepare the curly kale leaves, the onions cut into strips and the kimchi.

3. Toast the peppers in a frying pan, add the curly kale leaves. Add the marinated tempeh to the pan and cook for about 3 min until the marinade is nicely browned.

4. Spread the baked baguette halves with mayonnaise, place the roasted pepper strips, kale leaves and the sliced roasted tempeh on top, add the fresh onion strips and Kimchi.
